Things I Miss The Most! Pandemic Edition
It has been 45 days since the city went into the locked down, although I have been enjoying this working from home and lots of self-love, self reflection situations, there are things I truly miss and I am not gonna lie no matter how much I know this time of slowing down is a necessary period of time that we and this environment all needed
Go shopping at my favorite stores. Beside grocery stores, and as much as I love online shopping, there’s really something about shopping in person, whether it’s window shopping or trying on clothes, feeling the textures of the fabrics. This actually got me thinking a lot about retailing, how this is changing the way we shop and how we can adapt it for the better, plus I’ve been looking more into sustainability brand, in terms of my decisions and how I want to change the way I live and contribute to the environment, more of this on the blog in the future for sure.
Physical touch. I don’t know about you, but I’m a true hugger, and if you aren’t quarantining with your loved ones, chances are, when you get to see them, you have to keep your social distance, not being able to hug each other… Although our arms can do many incredible things, hugging is definitely one of the best things we can give and get, that magical hug, check out the benefits of huggings.
Wine and dine out. Whether its brunch or dinner, I truly miss eating out and going to to bars with my friends and family, that dynamic is irreplaceable. That being said, I’m learning to cherish the time to cook and try new recipes, in fact, I’ve tried to make my very first own gin drink the other day, and wrote a blog post for it because I love that I was trying something new and I was VERY bored.
Fresh air. Sometimes there had been days that I stayed indoor without going out, and it was killing me. I now try to go for a walk whenever the weather is nice.
Well… The list can go on, but let’s stay positive here and change for the better. I really am taking this time to reflect more in myself and seeing this world with different perspectives. Stay safe x
